With more than 25 years of experience in electrical, utility, and fire alarm system engineering, Dana brings a strategic perspective to each and every project as a Senior Engineer at ICO Energy and Engineering.
Dana’s in-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)—as well as local codes in each authoritative jurisdiction—makes him an invaluable part of the firm’s utility coordination, commissioning, owner’s technical representative, facility conditions assessment, and peer review services. He leverages his design and field construction experience to integrate into the project team and work seamlessly with design engineers, general contractors, sub-contractors, equipment manufacturers, and facility engineers and operators.
Dana’s longevity in the Electrical Engineering field and broad application experience across commercial office, retail, laboratory, and multi- family housing projects, allows him to provide a unique perspective on project design, construction, turn over, and operation.
Prior to joining ICO Energy and Engineering, Dana spent several years with Vincent A. DiIorio, Inc. Consulting Engineers, initially as a Computer-Aided Design Operator before being promoted to Electrical and Fire Alarm Design Engineer.
Dana studied machine drafting at Blue Hills Regional Technical School and attended Mt. Ida’s Coyne School of Electricity. He then completed the Journeyman Electrician course at Martin Electrical and Technical School with 600 hours of approved education.
