With a rich background spanning over 30 years in the built environment, Mark is adept at integrating sustainability planning, MEP design, Passive House principles, renewable energy solutions, and Net Zero Carbon initiatives.

Dynamic and purposeful, Mark is a seasoned Principal at ICO, where he spearheads multifaceted projects with a keen eye for project delivery and technical excellence in building systems.

Mark has been an industry resource for the Building Commissioning field, serving on several industry boards including the Building Commissioning Association, Northeastern University, USGBC accreditation board, and locally supporting the Commonwealth of Massachusetts board of building regulations and standards (BBRS).

Throughout Mark’s career, he has overseen the energy efficiency team at the largest local utility and led the asset management/monetization team at a thermal energy company. Lastly, leading an MEP and Commissioning team of a national engineering firm.

Mark holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Bentley University and is a graduate of Northeastern, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.  He is an adjunct professor at Boston University, is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP), and accredited with the USGBC as a LEED AP BD+C. He serves on the industry leadership board at Northeastern University’s civil and environmental engineering department.
